Habitat
This grouper is commonly found on coral reefs in tropical areas. Juvinile fish will frequent the mangroves. THey can be found in both brackish and salt water.
Diet
The blacktip grouper feeds on crustations and other smaller fish.
Behavior
This grouper is an ambush predator.
Fishing
This grouper can be caught with live bait or by jigging above coral reefs.
